Why can't I complete some assignments?

Canvas assignments are locked to prevent bypassing app blocking. They are completed automatically when the AssignMint extension detects a submission. For assignments without a Canvas submission option, open the extension, click the three dots, and select “Attempt to mark as manual assignment.” Avoid importing courses in the case where a teacher marks non-submittable work as requiring a submission.

You can also allow overdue Canvas assignments to be marked manual after a set number of days. Open Settings and adjust "Overdue Assignments" to choose how long an assignment must be overdue before this option is available. This is only available in the extension, but will be coming soon to the iOS mobile app.

Why are my assignments not importing?

For automatic Canvas assignment importing, ensure the following:

• AssignMint chrome extension is installed
• Canvas Domain is set (You can check in Extension > Settings)
• Courses are set as active in extension

What is Manual Mode?

Manual Mode allows a Canvas-imported assignment to be completed manually in AssignMint. It is only enabled after the extension verifies that the assignment does not have a normal Canvas submission option.
